Hello again EVE friends,
As IGÇÖm currently training Mining Barge to level 5, I have 5 days left, I need to make 200mil ISK to buy a Hulk Ship then I need more cash to outfit the ship. So IGÇÖm guessing around 300 to 400mil. What would be my best bet to make 400mil in 5 days?
I do not have a good ship to run any missions other then maybe T1 or lower. I have a retriever mining ship now. So any tips or tricks you guys could share to that I may possibly make this money by then?

I didn't want to buy PLEX but it may be my only option. The only reason i want a HULK is because its the best mining barge out there. If i can mine more and faster i can more more ISK. the more ISK i make the faster i can get into T2 missions. (not including the time it takes for training skills) |

- Buy GTC and sell it as plex. The fastest way to make iskies.
- Go to Jita and scam. It's hit and miss and the consequences might come back at you later.
- Trading. If you (not your character, you) know how to trade this is probably your best choice of legit iskies. Otherwise it isn't the best time for learning and probably losing your isk.
Get a covetor instead. It's about 40 million fitted and rigged. You can get a basic one with as low as 25 million if you're really strapped for cash and it gets about 85% of the hulk's yield. You can then use that ship to earn a hulk.
Not a bad idea. i see convetors for 14mil. What is the best item to use to increase the cargo hold? |

It smells like there is a "Someone ganked the Hulk I had all my money invested in and now I cannot afford a frigate" whine thread incoming.

Then fail the contract and sell the minerals. Good idea... - If someone's foolish enough to request only millions when shipping billions worth merchandise. - Once you got the nose to avoid scam contracts. - Once you have the cashflow to support the collateral to even accept the contract. - Once you have a ship that can freight those highly valuable goods through any system and don't fear either suicide gank or blockades. There was a storey a little while ago (that I can't find a link to) where a newbie found a courier contract with a very very low colatoral (think it was only a few mil) to move a small volume of "stuff" something pathetic like 10 jumps. So the newbie looked in the package and found something like 60bil isk worth of megacyte (I forget the exact number) Anyway, his question was what's the fastest way to makes lots of isk... that's got to be it
How and where can i find these missions?
every one is saying that mining is low isk income. So then the question is what ship skills should i start traing? |

From what I recall of the courier contract jackpot, it was four contracts, each with a large collateral (1-4 billion). However, the contents were worth signicantly more than the collateral, so the pilot failed the contracts and ran off with the loot.
@ the op... There are several methods to quickly make significant isk in game, but they usually require a combination of scamming, trading, luck (Nullsec faction or officer spawns), and teamwork (WH's, Incursions, Hi-difficulty Plex).
Mining is a very passive form of making isk, usually very low stress and low profit. Here's a warning: if you put all of your iskies into a hulk this time of year (i.e. Hulkageddon is probably starting in the next month or so), then you're probably going to be a very sad panda when someone comes and destroys your hulk for the sport of it... Also, if you put 150m in modules on it... they'll destroy your hulk for the profit too... EVEN IN HISEC!!!! [/quote]
Hulkageddon does not sound like fun. I'll pass on that and start training more combat releated skills. I'm saving for a Drake at the moment. I love missels :) |

i take it there is no way to untrain a skill. is it the more skills i have the slower skills train? |
